A family table
since 2019.
Always walk-in.
Traditional Albanian cooking over oak wood. 100% halal. Fresh Ionian seafood. Seaside dining near Mango Beach, Sarandë.
Cooked the way it has
always been done.
Our brick oven runs on oak wood. Ingredients come from small farms in the region. Everything you order is prepared in our open kitchen, visible from your table.
☪️ Halal Sourcing
All beef, lamb, and chicken is 100% halal from Kasapi i Prizrenit — with a clear, traceable supply chain.
🔥 Oak Wood-Oven
Our brick oven uses real oak wood. Tavë Kosi bakes for over an hour in clay pots. We will not rush it.
🌿 Hand-Rolled Every Morning
Byrek layers are hand-rolled by the same hands each morning. Fresh dough, cottage cheese, spinach or seasonal fillings.
🐟 Fresh Ionian Seafood
Seabass and sea bream from the Ionian, usually caught that morning. The fish soup changes daily with the catch.
After dinner,
the terrace stays open.
Our open-air terrace faces the Ionian Sea. After dinner service ends, it becomes a shisha lounge under the stars — with six premium flavours, cool coastal air, and the lights of Corfu in the distance.

Frequently asked
questions.
Is the food at Sophra halal?
Yes. All chicken, lamb, and beef is 100% halal, sourced directly from Kasapi i Prizrenit. We maintain a clear supply chain for every cut of meat on our menu.
Where exactly is Sophra located in Sarandë?
We are near Mango Beach on the Butrinti road, Sarandë. Free parking is available directly below the restaurant entrance — no stress even in August.
How far is Sophra from Ksamil?
About 10 minutes by car from Ksamil, and the same from Sarandë city centre. Follow the road toward Mango Beach — free parking below the restaurant.
Do you take reservations?
During peak summer (July–August) we are walk-in only — first come, first served. The front-row sea view tables go to whoever arrives first. For groups of 10 or more, contact us in advance via WhatsApp.
What should I order first?
If it is your first time with Albanian food: start with the Albanian Antipasto for 2, then Tavë Kosi or Jufka with Whole Chicken. Finish with Trilece. That is the full experience — and the one every Albanian family would give you at home.
Do you have vegetarian options?
Yes — eggplant casserole, stuffed peppers, multiple byrek varieties, salads, pasta, and all pizzas are available vegetarian. We also have one fully vegan byrek (tomato and onion, no dairy, no egg).
