Traditional Albanian Cooking & Wood-Oven Dishes
Sophra is a family-owned restaurant in Sarandë where recipes are prepared daily inside a visible open kitchen. We specialize in traditional slow-cooking, using real oak wood to fuel our ovens. Our menu features certified Halal meats and fresh regional ingredients, served on an open terrace with a direct view over the Ionian Sea and Corfu island.

How We Prepare Your Food
We follow simple, straightforward cooking principles. Our recipes rely on mountain herbs sourced from the Delvina hills, unrefined olive oil, and clean supply chains. By keeping our processes visible, guests can see how their lunch or dinner is handled from start to finish.
01.
Certified Halal Sourcing
All beef, lamb, and poultry dishes on our menu are prepared using 100% certified Halal meat sourced from Kasapi i Prizrenit, with a clear supply chain.
02.
Hand-Rolled Dough
Our kitchen team rolls out pastry layers by hand every day to prepare traditional byrek options filled with spinach, cottage cheese, or seasonal ingredients.
03.
Slow Oven Clay Pots
Our signature dishes, like the traditional Tavë Kosi, are baked inside clay casseroles within our stone oven to maintain historical regional flavors.
04.
Terrace Vibe & Shisha Garden
After dinner service, guests can relax on our open terrace facing the sea, which functions as a regular shisha lounge open until 02:00 AM.

A Family-Run Restaurant on Sarandë Boulevard
Sophra is positioned near Mango Beach along the coastal boulevard. We focus entirely on local culinary customs, providing a practical dining option for families and travelers who want to see their food cooked transparently over natural wood flames while sitting next to the sea.
Peak Season Access & Seating Policy
During the busy summer season, Sophra operates strictly on a walk-in, first-come, first-served basis for individual parties and small families. We do not take standard reservations; tables are assigned based on arrival time. Advance coordination is required only for large group bookings exceeding 10 people (+10).
What Visitors Note About Their Visit
We track local and international reviews closely to maintain consistent portion sizes, clear ingredient handling, and standard hospitality practices along the coastline.
