100% Halal Meat — Sourced from Kasapi i Prizrenit
By Sophra Restaurant · Updated June 2026 · 6 min read

Sarandë is a growing destination on the Albanian Riviera — but finding confirmed halal food here requires some research. This guide explains what halal means in practice at Sophra Restaurant, which dishes are covered, and what to expect when you visit. No claims without specifics.

Where our halal meat comes from.

All beef, lamb, chicken and prosciutto served at Sophra comes from one supplier: Kasapi i Prizrenit — a certified halal butcher based in Prizren, Kosovo. We have used the same supplier consistently because knowing the source matters more than having a generic “halal certified” label on the wall.

☪️ What halal means at Sophra — specifically

All meat covered: beef, lamb, veal, chicken and prosciutto. Every cut used across the entire menu comes from Kasapi i Prizrenit.

No mixing: the kitchen does not mix halal and non-halal meat at any point in preparation.

Seafood: all fish and seafood is naturally halal — seabass, sea bream, octopus, shrimp, mussels, salmon.

Vegetarian dishes: contain no meat. Dairy (cheese, yogurt) is used in some dishes.

If you have a specific question about any dish, ask when you arrive. The kitchen is open and visible from the dining area.
